Ozzy Osbourne’s Daughter Kelly Opens Up About Her Relapse After Almost 4 Years Of Sobriety

The English TV personality, singer, model, and fashion designer, Kelly Osbourne, who’s also known as Ozzy’s daughter, recently posted a series of videos on her Instagram stories and announced that she relapsed after almost four years of being sober.

As you know, the Osbournes as a family have made it to the headlines of rock news multiple times in relation to their battle against alcohol and drug addiction. While Ozzy Osbourne has been sober for almost 7 years, his 35-years old son Jack Osbourne has been sober for 17 years. Just last year in August, Kelly Osbourne had celebrated her 3 years of sobriety, but with her recent Instagram stories, she revealed that she relapsed.

Back in 2009, Kelly had given an interview to People magazine during which she opened up about her addiction. She had said that she first used drugs when she was 13 years old when she started taking liquid Vicodin after having her tonsils removed. She has been in rehab 4 times, gone through 6 detoxes, and spent some time in a mental institution so as to battle her addiction. Throughout this process, Kelly has always been very sincere with her followers, which is why she felt the need to inform them about her recent relapse.

With her recent stories, Kelly told her fans that she relapsed but stressed that she’s not proud of it. She went on to say that the road to recovery has been a tricky one but having millions of people from all over the world showing her love and supporting her through this process has been really helpful. She put her fans’ minds at ease by reassuring them that she’s ‘back on track‘ and that she’s going to take it one day at a time and make sure that she doesn’t relapse again.

Here’s what Kelly Osbourne said in her recent Instagram stories:

“This is a little hard for me to talk about but I’ve promised you that’ll always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery. I relapsed. Not proud of it. But I am back on track.”

She went on to say:

“I just want to let you know that I am sober today and I will be sober tomorrow. But I’ve learned it truly is one day at a time, and I just wanted to tell you guys the truth because I never, ever want to lie to you. Thank you so much for your support and your love.”
