Another one wrote about what they felt:

“I verbally sighed and visually frowned.”

The Band’s Last Album Arrived In 2021

In March 2019, Sixx said the band recorded four new songs and planned a greatest hits album. They released ‘Talk to Me’ in September 2019 and a remix of ‘Maybe It’s Time’ for Artists for Recovery in August 2020. In August 2021, they announced their greatest hits album called ‘Hits.’ The bassist wrote the following about the record on Instagram:

“Excited to get some new Sixx:A.M. music out next month with James Michael and DJ Ashba. I’ve always loved making music with these two. Our ‘HITS’ album comes out October 22, but lots of new stuff coming before including the single ‘The First 21.'”

James Michael’s Thoughts On The ‘Hits’ Album

In October 2021, the band’s vocalist, James Michael, mentioned in an interview with Metal On Loud that the band didn’t plan to tour or make new music after their album came out. He stated:

“We were kind of looking at it [‘Hits’ album] as ‘This is the end, at least for now.’ And that was also an important aspect to us going into the studio and doing this because we really wanted to be able to — for lack of a better way to describe it — wrap this up and put a nice bow on it and really feel like we’ve controlled this from the beginning to the end. So it was fun and it was exciting. And as I said, we never know what SIXX:A.M. is gonna do in the future, but for now, we’re looking at this and saying, ‘This is a good way to wrap this up.'”

In 2022, another band member, DJ Ashba seemed unsure about making more music with the band, too. As Michael said, he also explained that the ‘Hits’ album was a good way to wrap it up.
