Nikki Sixx Shares New Details Of His Upcoming Book: ‘It Isn’t About My Mötley Crüe Adventures’

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx posted a picture of his coffee cup on Instagram and revealed some exciting details about the brand new book he has been working on, yet apparently, this time Sixx will be focusing on something completely different than his recollection of his career with Mötley Crüe.
As you know, the iconic bassist and co-founder of Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx has struggled with substance abuse issues for many years. He even had a near-death experience caused by a severe consumption of heroin and alcohol. Fortunately, Sixx achieved to win his battle against addiction and last year, he celebrated the 19th anniversary of his sobriety.
During the period of his recovery from addiction, Nikki Sixx has been helping others who struggled with substance abuse by participating in various projects. Back in 2007, Sixx released his book named ‘The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star‘ which depicted the story of Mötley Crüe bassist’s battle with heroin addiction from Christmas of 1986 until his near-death experience from a heroin overdose in late 1987.
Earlier in 2020, Sixx announced that he was working on a new book which would be most likely released in 2021. In his recent Instagram post, Mötley Crüe star shared more details about his upcoming book which excited the fans even more. Apparently, Nikki’s new book won’t be about his adventurous life with Mötley Crüe. Sixx stated that this new book will be completely different than anything he has done in his career. He also repeated that he will probably release the book later in 2021.

“Pecking away at another book. It isn’t about my adventurous life with the Crüe. It’s so different than anything I’ve done in the past. Probably drop later this year with some cool tentacles attached. 📚 🖊 💡”
The multitalented musician has also been working on various project to show his support for the people who have been struggling with alcohol or drug addiction for a long time. In addition to the release of his first book, Sixx recored a concept album called ‘The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack‘ with his band Sixx: A.M. as a musical accompaniment for the book.
