Joe Hahn And Dave Farrell Recall Linkin Park’s TV Debut On Conan O’Brien’s Late Night Show 20 Years Ago Today

The official Twitter page of Linkin Park shared a post on Twitter remembering the time when the band made its first tv appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien in addition to revealing what Linkin Parl DJ Joe Hahn and bassist Dave Farrell think and remember from that day.

As you may remember, Linkin Park made its premiere on tv back on January 16, 2001, when the band members performed their song, ‘One Step Closer’ from their legendary debut album ‘Hybrid Theory’ which was released in 2000, on one of the most famous tv shows ever, Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

Linkin Park recently shared the video of the band’s performance of ‘One Step Closer’ on its official Twitter page remembering their first introduction on tv after two decades. In addition to this, band members, Joe Hahn and Dave Farrell were asked what they remember from their performance in Conan O’Brien’s show.

Here is what Linkin Park said:

“20 years ago today, we made our first US television appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Here’s our performance of One Step Closer.

We asked Joe Hahn and Dave Farrell what they remember from playing Conan.”

Later on, Linkin Park shared tho more posts on Twitter revealing what both members recall from their tv debut, apparently, Joe Hahn remembers the time when rapper and record producer Slick Rich was on their flight the day after their appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show and the rapper approached the band members in order to say hi and revealed that he liked Linkin Park’s performance.

Here is what Hahn said:

“The day after the Conan appearance, Slick Rick was on our flight. He made a point to say hi and that he liked our performance. – Joe Hahn”

In addition to Hahn’s reveal, the official Twitter page of Linkin Park also showed Dave Farrell’s answer as he stated that he was nervous about his performance in addition to being concerned for his clothes which ultimately ended up with a t-shirt and oversized green pants. Farrell also shared a fun fact and stated that her daughters mock him every time when they see the performance.

Here is what Farrell said:

I remember being nervous & concerned about what I should wear. After much deliberation, I settled on a t-shirt & oversized green pants. The black Project 86 t-shirt I would wear today if I still had it, but the choice in pants gets me teased by my daughters. – Dave Farrell”
