Green Day Releases New Music Video For ‘Pollyanna’
Green Day announced that they released the music video for their latest single, ‘Pollyanna,’ on their official Instagram account.
Green Day originally planned their Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer in September 2019. The tour was supposed to begin in March 2020 and last until August 2020. However, like the rest of the world, their plans were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The band had to cancel most of its shows and had the rest rescheduled for 2021 and 2022.
Nonetheless, the band continued to be productive and wrote news songs during this time. The songs were supposed to be released after the pandemic, but in February 2021, Green Day released ‘Here Comes the Shock,’ and in May 2021, they dropped ‘Pollyanna.’
They shared the good news that Pollyanna’s music video has been recently released to celebrate the return of the Hella Mega Tour and shared a small clip of the video on their Instagram. The video is a compilation of their Hella Mega Tour videos and includes the band’s sincere moments. They have also added some clips of the fans that came to watch them.
This is what they wrote in the caption of the Instagram video:
“Celebrating being out on the Hella Mega Tour with a new video for ‘Pollyanna’ – link in bio to watch + get tickets to your show!”
The music video premiered less than 24 hours ago. It already has over 100 thousand views and more than a thousand comments. Their fans loved the idea of a sincere music video and stated that they want to see more of Green Day’s daily routines and lives.
While some people stated their sadness about the fact that the band has changed their style as they miss how the band was in the ’90s, others indicated that it is good enough that they still produce good music after all these years.
