Gene Simmons Won’t Reveal The Date Of KISS’ Final Show ‘Yet’

KISS’s ‘End Of The Road’ tour has been going on since 2019 and will extend until at least 2023. However, the band members upset the fans by announcing that this tour would be the end of the road for them. Judging by the words of Gene Simmons in a recent interview with Page Six, the band is still on board with this decision, and even the date and venue of the last concert are clear. However, it looks like they’re going to keep it from us for a while.

“We love the fans, and we don’t want to stay on stage too long, but we’re having the time of our lives,” Gene Simons admitted, announcing once again their decision to stop performing live. “We added another 100 cities, but at the end of that, no more touring.”

He continued by explaining why they have decided not to reveal any details yet, saying, “I know where and when, but I’m not [revealing yet]. I do know the last day and date. But you don’t want to find out what you’re getting for Christmas as a present in July, right?”

KISS announced their farewell tour in 2018, and they hit the road in 2019. They had to postpone their planned dates due to COVID-19, but they are now on the road. The band members seem to be going wild on their last ride, as they broke two Guinness records while using pyrotechnic on stage at an exclusive New Year’s Eve 2020 Goodbye livestream concert last December!

Although they have not yet announced the date and location of their last concert, Stanley revealed in a conversation with UCR in 2021 that he firmly believed they would retire at the beginning of 2023. They had previously said some ‘pseudo goodbyes’ because of the problems inside the band, but this time, their choice was based solely on their physical well-being. They wanted to stop performing live because it became too demanding for them.

In another interview with Chaoszine last summer, he said he didn’t know when the ongoing farewell tour would end because it would be their first retirement as well. He added that the crew was happy on their last ride, so they decided to add 100 more cities. Although the idea of a goodbye upsets many KISS fans, considering this wild direction on their way, it is impossible not to get excited about what they will do at their last one.
