Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett Addresses The Theories About Taylor Hawkins’ Death

Foo Fighters lead guitarist Chris Shiflett recently appeared in an interview with The Plug W/ Justin Jay and reacted harshly to the ‘disrespectful’ conspiracy theories about Taylor Hawkins’ death.

Last March, Taylor Hawkins was found unresponsive at his hotel in Colombia while on tour with his band. Although the emergency services intervened, the 50-year-old drummer’s death was confirmed after he was taken to the hospital. While no further information was disclosed about the cause of his death, Colombian authorities launched an investigation.

According to the reports issued following the authorities’ examination of the late drummer’s hotel room, it was discovered that Bogota’s Emergency Regulation Center was informed that someone was experiencing a heart problem. Later, the officers reached the emergency service and directed medical professionals to his room, but the drummer was unfortunately not alive.

As a result of these investigations, the police said that the cause of death could be related to substance consumption, but this has not been confirmed yet. As the reason for Taylor’s passing has remained a mystery, some fans have started spreading conspiracy theories. It looks like the guitarist Chris Shiflett was already upset about them, but people blaming Dave Grohl was the final straw.

In a recent interview, the rocker stated that he can understand why people are so affected by the passing of a legendary musician like Hawkins. However, the guitarist mentioned that he could no longer tolerate those who claim that Grohl killed the drummer by forcibly vaccinating him for COVID-19. He harshly reacted to those comments and revealed that he tried not to care about these theories, but he could not endure this disrespect anymore.

Chris Shiflett said the following about the conspiracy theories:

“Taylor was this big character, and he meant a lot to millions of people, so I get that fascination with his death, but so much of what I’ve seen out there is so completely wrong. There are people out there saying sh*t like Dave killed Taylor by making him get the Covid vaccine. You’re going to turn it into that? F*ck you. I try not to pay attention to it, but it does make you angry because that sh*t is just disrespectful.”

It seems like some people crossed the line and started to put forward conspiracy theories due to the uncertainty about Taylor Hawkins’ cause of death. Recently, the Foo Fighters guitarist expressed his anger towards these comments, stressing how disrespectful it is to blame Dave Grohl for this incident.
