Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott Names The Best Song Of 2021

Def Leppard lead vocalist Joe Elliott was asked to reveal his favorite song released in 2021 during his latest interview with Sky News. In the beginning, Elliott couldn’t decide between two Dave Grohl songs, but finally, he chose his favorite while expressing his thoughts about it.
After Foo Fighters released ‘Concrete and Gold,’ the band decided to take a short break from their studio sessions. Therefore, the band’s fans waited for a long time until Foo Fighters’ members announced that they had started working on their new record. Actually, they were supposed to release their tenth studio album named ‘Medicine at Midnight’ in 2020, but it had to be rescheduled to February 5, 2021, due to the global pandemic.
The album’s tracks such as ‘Shame Shame,’ ‘No Son of Mine,’ and ‘Waiting on a War’ became very popular and were listened to a lot worldwide, receiving very positive reviews. As one of them, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott named ‘Waiting on a War’ as his favorite Foo Fighters track, but he decided to define another Dave Grohl song as the best song of 2021. Grohl and The Rolling Stones’ lead singer Mick Jagger recently collaborated on a new song that surprised their fans.
Jagger and Grohl released ‘Eazy Sleazy’ on April 13, 2021, and the Foo Fighters frontman handled the drums, lead guitar, bass guitar, and backing vocals. Elliott admired their collaboration so much that he named it his favorite song of 2021 in his interview. He expressed his ideas about ‘Eazy Sleazy,’ saying that Grohl is a very talented instrumentalist and Jagger’s voice is still remarkable. The musician further praised the song’s punky and old but gold rock and roll style.
Elliott shared his ideas, saying:
“Well, it’s really hard for anyone to pick one song, so it’s between two songs with a common thread – and that’s Dave Grohl. The first song would be the Foo Fighters track ‘Waiting For A War’ from the new album. It’s my favorite ever Foo Fighters song and is phenomenal.
However if I was forced to choose one it would be another song Dave Grohl plays on, and that’s ‘Eazy Sleazy’ by Mick Jagger. Grohl plays every instrument bar Jagger’s vocals and rhythm guitar. It’s really punky and sounds like The New York Dolls, who people say sounds like The Rolling Stones – so there is that symmetry. Jagger is 78 and sounds like a guy half his age, which gives someone like me hope that I can keep going for a while yet!”
