Dee Snider Pays Tribute To Iron Maiden’s Late Drummer Clive Burr, ‘It Was An Honor To Have Played With Him’

Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider celebrated the birthday of late Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr by sharing a new post on his official Twitter account.

As you might already know, Clive was a member of Iron Maiden between 1979-1982. He was diagnosed with MS in the late ’90s and passed away in his sleep in 2013 after four days of his 56th birthday.

In 1988, Dee and Clive were playing at Desperado, but the band disbanded after two years. Dee stated that it was an honor for him to play side by side and call him a friend.

Furthermore, Dee celebrated his birthday to show his respect for the legendary drummer and paid his tribute to Clive. Afterward, he prayed for his soul and remembered his legacy.

Here is what Dee Snider said:

“Today would have been the late Clive Burr formerly of Iron Maiden 64th birthday. He died of MS in 2013 on 3/12. It was an honor to have played with him in Desperado and to have called him a friend. RIP Clivey. ‘Hit ‘em hard!’”
