David Lee Roth Releases A New Song Dedicated To Van Halen

Former Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth shared a post to announce his new track shortly after the previous one on his official Twitter account. Lyrics for the famous musician’s song can be considered a tribute to the band members and the crazy times they spent together.

Following his latest solo album entitled ‘Diamond Dave,’ which he dropped on July 8, 2003, Roth gave a break to writing, composing, and performing tracks for his next album for a very long time. Thus, his dedicated fans had to wait until they heard an announcement from the singer about his upcoming works. However, it turned out that Roth didn’t focus on his solo career but started a new journey with Van Halen again.

The journey couldn’t last long after the legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen passed away, and the remaining musicians disbanded the group right after. Once again, the followers were looking forward to listening to a new song from Roth, and the vocalist announced the exciting news about that when he shared ‘Pointing At The Moon’ on July 10, 2022. Both the song and his painting received positive reviews from his fans worldwide.

As it can be understood from the recently released ‘Nothing Could Have Stopped Us Back Then Anyway’ lyrics such as ‘We laughed, we cried, we threw the television off that balcony/That memory means so much to me’ that Diamond Dave dedicated this work to Van Halen. In addition, Roth decided to use a photo from Van Halen’s classic lineup for the YouTube release to highlight that he was talking about the memories back then.

Roth’s tweet read:

“Link in bio to the full version of new single, ‘Nothing Could Have Stopped Us Back Then Anyway.’
