David Ellefson Prepares A Defamation Lawsuit To Be Filed Against The Person Who Leaked His Sex Video

According to a recent statement, Megadeth‘s co-founder and the bass guitarist David Ellefson confirmed that he will be taking legal actions and file a defamation lawsuit against the person who leaked his sex tape on the internet without his consent.

As many of you may recall, Megadeth’s David Ellefson faced accusations of ‘grooming’ after an Instagram user posted a video and a couple of screenshots of Ellefson and a younger woman having a conversation and Ellefson masturbating. Moreover, the screenshots made it clear to lots of people that Ellefson was the one who initiated the conversation.

Megadeth bassist was badmouthed by a lot of people when the news broke and was accused of being a pedophile as there were a lot of speculations that the woman in the video was underage. Following the incident, Megadeth announced the departure of Ellefson and said that the recent events made it difficult for them to work together.

Even though the woman in the videos confirmed that she was not underage, and Ellefson said that he is not proud of his behavior, his reputation was already going bad. Recently, Ellefson sat down with Loudwire and announced that he is preparing to file a defamation lawsuit against the person who leaked the videos. He also mentioned that in the recording there were two consenting adults and that the video was taken without his knowledge.

Here is his original statement:

“Recently, a very private video was illegally posted on the internet and false allegations were made against me. The actions in the video were between two consenting adults and were recorded without my knowledge. I am working with Scottsdale Police Department in their investigation into charges regarding revenge pornography to be filed against the person who posted this video.

Also, my lawyers are preparing a defamation lawsuit to be filed against this person. This person will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I am taking this time to be with my family. I wish my bandmates the best with their upcoming tour.”
