Damon Albarn Revives Signature Look For Blur’s Comeback

Blur singer Damon Albarn on the Wembley Stadium stage with his Fila tracksuit jacket that first appeared in the music video for ‘Girls And Boys’. Performing their first comeback show since 2015, Albarn disappeared from the stage right before their performance for ‘Girls And Boys’. His appearance at the start of the song with the red and black jacket stunned the audience.

Albarn revealed that the jacket was not the original one from the music video, but it was an exact replica that Fila remade for them. He addressed the audience and said:

“So, I mean for those who care, this is the original Fila – well, it’s not the original, we couldn’t find it – thank you to Fila for recreating it.”

He added:

“What a wonderful thing to lose something and have a whole business recreate it.”

A fan-recorded video of the moment was later shared on Twitter.

Albarn expressed his excitement about their first comeback show, which is also the biggest show they’ve ever performed with an audience of 90.000 people. He shared:

“Obviously we’ve been waiting for this moment our whole lives. I didn’t think it would be like this.”

The band also made their comeback official with the announcement of a new upcoming album ‘The Ballad Of Darren’, which is set to be released on July 14. The track titled ‘The Narcissist’ was released two months ago, which you can check out here.
