Coldplay Announces Their Exclusive Worldwide Debut Performance Of ‘Higher Power’

Coldplay announced that its upcoming ninth studio album’s new single ‘Higher Power‘ will be performed first on the next episode of American Idol on May 9, 2021, from its Twitter account.

As you know, Coldplay’s latest and third fast-selling album ‘Everyday Life’ was released on November 22, 2020, and it was a double album that consisted of two parts named ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Sunset.’ The debut performance was a double concert in Amman, Jordan. As the key concept of the album, the band performed at both sunrise and sunset that streamed live on Youtube.

While the fans were waiting impatiently for the next album, Coldplay announced the release date of the ninth studio album’s first single titled ‘Higher Power’.  The single will be released on May 9, 2021 with the performance on the Mother’s Day episode of ABC’s American Idol.

In the next episode, the remaining contestants will perform a special song for Mother’s Day and a Coldplay song that they chose.  The band’s frontman Chris Martin will also be mentoring them in the process of preparing their Coldplay song performance. Moreover, Coldplay will perform ‘Higher Power’ for the first time on American Idol. Both the band’s and the show’s official Twitter accounts shared the exciting news with the fans.
