Bob Daisley Says George Harrison Had A Lot Of Respect For Gary Moore

Ozzy Osbourne bassist Bob Daisley joined an interview with Artists On Record Starring ADIKA Live! and revealed how Thin Lizzy’s Gary Moore felt about the late Beatles icon George Harrison. Daisley didn’t forget to talk about the relationship between those two legendary artists.

Along with his notable works with Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, and Ozzy Osbourne, Daisley’s performance and his harmony with Gary Moore were often criticized. Two iconic musicians collaborated for several records such as ‘Victims of the Future,’ ‘Run for Cover,’ ‘Wild Frontier,’ ‘After the War,’ and countless others. Moore and Daisley also performed several live concerts as a part of their musical partnership.

In addition, in one of their shows, Harrison, who was Moore’s friend and neighbor, came to watch them, and as a huge Beatles fan, it was a great moment for Daisley. That was the first time that the bassists met which could be one of the most exciting and unforgettable experiences in his life. Also, Bob Daisley had a conversation with Harrison about how The Beatles played at the same venue years ago.

Then the musician stated that Harrison was so humble that he wasn’t aware that he was The George Harrison and the band he was talking about was The Beatles. After this event, he had a chance to learn more about Moore and Harrison’s longtime friendship. Daisley went on to say that Harrison and Moore had known each other for a long time and added that the Beatles icon always had endless respect for Moore.

Daisley said in his interview that:

“I talked to him. What he made in the sound, I put the story in the book; he made it sound like he used to be some band. They used to play in this place, and I felt like saying, ‘Hang on, that’s Harrison, and the band you were talking about was The Beatles.’

He was very humble about the whole thing. He was amazing and meant a lot to me. He and Gary were mates, he had a lot of respect for Gary, but he was such a great liar.”
